NORTHFIELD, Vt.- The Northern Vermont University-Johnson men's basketball team dropped a non-conference game against Norwich University on Tuesday evening by a score of 63-52.
The Badgers were led in scoring by Sophomore Robert Dubose (Philadelphia, PA). Dubose scored a game high 21 points on 10-19 shooting. The Cadets opened the game on a big 11-4 run, but the Badgers did not fold as they counted with their own 9-2 run. Freshman Tyrese Smith (Tamarac, FL) and Lawson Ouellette (North Thetford, Vt.) started the run each hitting a three while Dubose added a layup of his own. The first half continued with the Cadets and Badgers making runs of their own. However, Norwich took a 30-20 lead going into the second half.
The Badgers started the second half by cutting the lead to as little as three points but could never gain the lead. Jesse Davis led the way for the Cadets with 14 points and Donovan Lewis had a strong performance scoring 10 points and added 8 rebounds.
With the loss the Badgers fall to 0-10 on the season, they will travel to face Southern Vermont College this Thursday at 8:00pm.
