LYNDONVILLE, Vt. – The Johnson State College men's soccer team defeated Lyndon State College 4-2 in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) game on Saturday afternoon.
1st Half: The Badgers (7-10, 2-7 NAC) got on the board in the opening minutes of the contest, as Collin Campbell (Killington, Vt.) outran Lyndon's defenders to a long ball from Rob Buonanno (Wolcott, Vt.), and fired it past the Hornet goalkeeper to take a 1-0 lead. Lyndon (5-9-1, 1-7-1 NAC)was able to tie things up in the 43rd minute when Liam Kelleher headed in a flip throw in from Joshua Thibault. A minute later, Lyndon took the lead on a nearly identical goal, as this time Devin Cowan headed home Thibault's flip throw to take a 2-1 lead into the break.
2nd Half: Buoananno tallied twice, in the 60th minute and the 68th minute, to put Johnson back in front, 3-2. Johnson added an insurance goal from Joseph Holloway (Essex County, England) with six seconds remaining to take a 4-2 victory.

Gerrit Lane (Moretown, Vt.) earned the win for Johnson stopping seven of nine shots. Matt LaClair took the loss, allowing four goals on six shots.
The Badgers will finish their season on Monday, October 23rd when they visit Norwich for a 7:00 p.m. non-conference match.
