NEW LONDON, N.H. – The Johnson State College men's tennis team fell to Colby-Sawyer College 9-0 in their North Atlantic Conference (NAC) opener on Saturday afternoon.
The Badger's doubles teams of Gerrit Lane (Moretown, Vt.) and Austin Walters (Grantham, N.H.), Joseph Holloway (London, England) and Ethan Hutchinson (Canterbury, N.H.), and Evan Daigneault (Newfane, Vt.) and Quinn Lambert (Joppatowne, Md.) all dropped their matches 8-0 to Colby-Sawyer making it 3-0 in the hosts favor going into singles.
Lane dropped first flight 6-2, 6-3. Walter, Holloway, and Hutchinson dropped second, third, and fourth flights, respectively, not able to register any points against the Chargers. Lambert dropped fifth flight 8-0, while Daigneault dropped sixth flight 8-5.
The Badgers travel to Castleton on Sunday April 8th for a match set to start at 1:00 pm.
