SAINT ALBANS, Vt. – The Johnson State College men's tennis team fell to Thomas College 9-0 in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) match on Saturday afternoon.
The Badger's doubles team of Gerrit Lane (Moretown, Vt.) and Austin Walters (Grantham, N.H.), dropped their match 8-1. Joseph Holloway (London, England) and Ethan Hutchinson (Canterbury, N.H.) dropped their match 8-2 and Patrick Bell (Charlestown, R.I.) and Quinn Lambert (Joppatowne, Md.) dropped their match 8-0 to Thomas making it 3-0 in the visitors favor going into singles.
Lane, Walters, and Holloway dropped first, second, and third singles 6-1, 6-0 respectively while Hutchinson and Lambert were not able to register any points against the Terriers in fourth and fifth flights. Evan Daigneault (Newfane, Vt.) dropped sixth flight 6-3, 6-2.
The Badgers travel to Lyndon on Wednesday, April 18th for a NAC contest set to start at 3:30 pm.
