STOWE, Vt.- The NorthernVermont University-Johnson men's tennis team faced off against Thomas College in a North Atlantic Conference matchup. The Badgers fell to the Terriers by a score of 9-0.
Colin Compagna and Trevor Newton represented the Badgers in No.1 doubles as they faced off against conference opponent Ryan Chasse and Kaleb Payson. The Badger duo dropped the match by a score of 8-0. The Terriers controlled the remainder of doubles action as Patrick Bell and Donell Shaw lost their match by a score of 8-0 and Kenneth Chandler and newcomer Wyatt Moberg also fell by a score of 8-0 over the Terriers No.3 doubles duo John Farrington and Jose Alfonso.
The Terriers swept the Badgers in ever singles match of the afternoon. Shaw competed at No.5 singles and was the closest match of the afternoon but it wasn't enough as the Terriers Alfonso took the match by a score of 6-1, 6-3. Chandler was swept and dropped his match by scores of 6-1 and 6-1. The Terriers controlled the remaining singles matches winning by scores of 6-0.
On Wednesday, April 17 the Badgers face NAC opponent Northern Vermont University-Lyndon in a President's Cup Challenge match at 3:30pm.
