Jamaica, NY- The Northern Vermont-Johnson men's volleyball team fell to York College by a score of 3-0 on Friday evening.
The Badgers faced off against York College in their second week of games of the inaugural men's volleyball season. Headed into the match the Badgers had played three prior matches and York was getting ready to play their first match of the season. York College men's volleyball opened the 2019 season Friday evening with a straight-set non-conference sweep (25-15, 25-17, 25-15)
Travis Benson's (Underhill, Vt.) three aces led NVU-Johnson. Austin Walters (Grantham, N.H) collected three kills and Wyatt Moberg (Acton, MA) contributed nine digs. The Badgers struggled to find a rhythm and were out played in assists (27-5), aces (12-6) and digs (28-24). The Badgers struggled with their attack and had an attacking percentage of -.196. Overall York controlled the pace, but the Badgers continued to compete.
The Badgers will travel and face Pratt tomorrow and are set to begin at 12:00pm
