WATERVILLE, Maine – The Johnson State College women's basketball team fell to Thomas College 85-42 in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) contest on Saturday afternoon.
The Badgers fall to 0-5 (0-3 NAC) on the season while Thomas improves to 2-5 (1-2 NAC).
The Terriers came out strong in the opening quarter as they jumped out to a 24-3 lead on a balanced attack from eight different scorers.
In the second frame, Thomas continued to stretch their lead as they took a 41-12 advantage before the break.
Thomas continued to steadily distance themselves from the Terriers in the third, finishing the quarter with a 63-23 lead.
Johnson kept pace in the fourth, but the Terriers went on to take the 85-42 win.
