Johnson dropped by Lesley in NAC Semifinals
Johnson, Vt.- The Northern Vermont University-Johnson women's tennis team fell in the NAC semifinals 5-1 to Lesley University. The Badgers end their season with a 4-7 record and 2-3 in the NAC. 
Grace Page (Bennington, VT) and Mikayla Messier (Sheldon, VT) fell in the first doubles matchup 8-3 versus Lesley's Theresa Pereira (Hopedale, MA) and Sara Stanton (Manchester, MA). 
Elizabeth Chitambar (Newport, VT) and Sam Kershner (Essex, VT) battled back and forth with Lesley's Maddie Abbott (Portland, ME) and Jessica Russo (Watertown, MA) before falling 8-5 in a close matchup. 
Rebecca Simon (New Prague, MN) and Leah Gaboury (Saint Albans, VT) fought their way to a 7-4 tiebreaking set win at third doubles against Lesley's Mary Pulling (Witman Hanson, MA) and Sarah Tobin (Amesbury, MA) to put the Badgers on the board before singles action.
Lesley controlled all single matches on the day. Page, Messier, Chitambar, Kershner and Simon all competed hard in their singles matches but could not come out on top. 
Mikayla Messier was named to the North Atlantic Conference All-Tournament team.
