Brown, Askenazi Lead Badgers in Boston University Battle

BANNER

The Badgers finished strong but Boston University's hot shooting proved too much as the Terriers handed Vermont State Johnson a 104-57 loss on Wednesday night.

SUMMARY

Johnson opened Thursday's matchup battling early, cutting the deficit to 12–7 after a Jaylen Brown jumper and a Greg Fitzgerald three at the 16-minute mark. However, Boston answered with a decisive 19–2 run, building a 28–9 lead. The Badgers fought back late in the half with a Brown three, buckets from Joseph Gargiulo and Niv Barzilay, but Boston closed strong to take a 60–27 halftime lead.

In the second half, Johnson continued to press; Marty Askenazi opened with a three, and Brown added back-to-back baskets to trim the margin briefly. Darone Frierson knocked down his second triple, and Andrew Phillips scored inside, while Barzilay contributed clutch free throws. Despite the effort, Boston's depth and shooting carried the day as the Terriers secured the win.
