JOHNSON, Vt. – Freshman Taner Cross (East Montpelier, Vt./ U-32) earned North Atlantic Conference Player of the Week after a 12 point week which helped Johnson's offense in its 16-9 win over Lyndon St. and its 12-4 victory over Green Mountain.
The freshman attack dished off seven goals and five assists over the week and was also able to scoop up eight groundballs and cause five turnovers.
"We were well prepared for our Lyndon game. As soon as we stepped onto our field, we knew it would be a good game. We have become close and formed a bond that will last for the rest of our lives. I'm lucky to have learned so much from everyone on this team."
Cross and the Badgers return to action for their last game of the season next weekend against Central Maine Community College. Johnson will head into that game with a 2-9, 2-6 NAC record.
