Men’s Soccer Takes Down Paul Smith’s College in Season Opener

The Badgers opened their 2025 season with a 4-1 win at home against the Paul Smith's College Bobcats.

SUMMARY

The Johnson Badgers took to the field in dominant fashion, opening their 2025 season with a 4-1 win against Paul Smith's that saw four Badgers find the back of the net. After three strong shots on goal, Johnson made its way to the scoreboard with a goal by Daniel Manning, assisted by Logan Ingalls, just over ten minutes into the match. The Badgers commanded the pitch, driving four more shots on goal before another from sophomore, Io Binder, could not be stopped. Halftime saw the Badgers lead, 2-1.

Mohammed Semega took to the second half strong, extending the Badger lead to three with a goal just 3:48 into the half. The Badgers' final goal would be thanks to Jonathan Cayole at the 62:50 mark, assisted by Semega and Josiah Phillips. The Bobcats would respond with a goal of their own, but ultimately fall 4-1.
