The VTSU Johnson Women's Soccer team announces the addition of Defender, Brianna Deschenes, to the roster for the Badgers' 2025-26 season. The center/right back from Warren, RI has made waves on the pitch for both her high school and club teams, Saint Raphael Academy and Storm, respectively. During her tenure at Saint Raphael's, Deschenes was recognized as a Team 3 All-Star en route to an undefeated season that saw the team capture a championship title.

Says Coach Norm Peterson, "Brianna is a great fit for our program at Vermont State Johnson and we are thrilled she is joining us. Bri played center back on the undefeated Division-III Rhode Island State Champions at St Raphael Academy. I believe she will fit in great on the winning culture we have developed at Johnson – it's great when the athletic and the academic interest align.  Brianna came up to visit last summer where I had a chance to see her play – I believe she is someone who will help us immediately and will continue to improve over her time here.  Hard worker and a great teammate – Let's Go!"
