Badgers Dominate in 8-2 Win over Central Maine

The Badgers Women's Soccer team earned a decisive 8-2 victory over the Central Maine Community College Mustangs in Sunday's home matchup.

The Johnson Badgers dominated the pitch from start to finish in their Sunday afternoon home matchup, defeating Central Maine Community College 8-2. The Badgers controlled possession (58%) and outshot the Mustangs 18–9, with three Badgers notching multi-score performances. Senior Olivia Davis and first year Elizabeth Love each netted two goals, while Moriah Stefanik added a pair of assists alongside her two goals to lead the offensive charge.

Johnson applied pressure early, but their breakthrough came in the 17th minute when Love scored unassisted. Davis followed with goals in the 21st and 39th minutes, assisted by Ida Eames and Stefanik respectively. Jenna Jones capped the first half with a solo goal in the 44th minute, sending the Badgers into halftime up 4–0.

While the second half saw Central Maine respond with two goals, the Badgers quickly regained control. Love added her second goal in the 48th minute, and Stefanik scored twice in under a minute (63rd and 64th), assisted by Davis, Eames, and Jones. Eames closed the scoring in the 78th minute with a goal assisted by Stefanik.

Goalkeeper Sophia Johnson made five saves to secure the win, while Johnson's defense held the Mustangs to just seven shots on target.
