JOHNSON, Vt.-The Northern Vermont University-Johnson women's tennis program announced their schedule for the 2019 season on Wednesday morning, a slate that features thirteen matches with eight home dates.
The Badgers come into the 2019 season after falling in the North Atlantic Conference semi-finals match the previous year. The women's tennis team opens up the 2019 campaign on Sunday, September 1 as they host Western New England University. Following the opening contest, the Badgers head to Northern Vermont University-Lyndon on Tuesday, September 3 for a non-conference match.
The Badgers return home the following week for four matches as they face Lesley University on Saturday, September 7, Plattsburgh State University on Sunday, September 8, Castleton University on Wednesday, September 11 and conclude the week with the first North Atlantic Conference match of the season against NVU-Lyndon on Saturday, September 14.
NVU-Johnson then hits the road and travel to Plymouth State University on September 16 to compete in a non-conference match before returning home on Wednesday, September 18 to face off against in state opponent St. Michaels College.
The Badgers then open up conference play as they hit the road to face Thomas College and Husson University on Saturday, September 21 and Sunday, September 22. The team then concludes their home regular season matches on Saturday, September 28 and Sunday, September 29 to face MCLA and SUNY Delhi.
On Wednesday, October 2 the Badgers conclude the regular season on the road against MCLA.
The North Atlantic Conference Championship will be held on Saturday, October 5 as the Badgers look to secure a spot for the second straight season.
