CASTINE, ME.-The Northern Vermont University-Johnson women's volleyball team fell by a score of 3-0 in their final match of the North Atlantic Conference quad match against Maine Maritime Academy on Saturday afternoon.
The Mariners took the match in straight sets winning by scores of 25-12, 25-12, 25-12.
The Badgers were led by Lauren Havill who recorded a team high five kills. Nikola Knapova three kills and a team high seven digs and Ashley Emery added three kills for the Badgers. It was a collective effort for the Mariners in the conference win. Rachel Melampy led the way with nine kills. Alexa Cacaie had a team best ten service aces and recorded seven kills in the win.
With the loss the Badgers move to 12-10 on the season and 3-1 in North Atlantic Conference play.
Women's volleyball is set to host SUNY Delhi and SUNY Canton on Sunday, November 3.
