After falling in the opening two sets, 25‑15 and 25‑18, the Badgers responded with their strongest stretch of volleyball in the third set, earning a 25‑18 win. Potsdam regained control in the fourth set to close out the match, 25‑15. Binder paced Johnson offensively with 13 kills, four total blocks, and eight digs, while Sam Munson added seven kills. Carter Hubley contributed on both sides of the ball with four kills, seven digs, and two blocks, and Dominguez posted a team‑high 14 digs. Pontiatowski finished with 25 assists as Johnson totaled seven blocks and forced Potsdam into key errors during the third‑set surge.

In the second half of the tri-match competition, Johnson faced St. John Fisher and battled through three competitive sets before dropping the match in straight‑set fashion, 25‑21, 25‑9, and 25‑22. The Badgers showed their best form in the opening and closing sets, keeping pace offensively and generating point swings from the service line. Io Binder led Johnson with nine kills and added four digs, while Luke Walters chipped in three kills, four digs, and a solo block.
