Vermont State Johnson earned a dominant 73-50 victory over SUNY Delhi Friday night, controlling the game from start to finish at Floyd L. Maines Arena.

Johnson jumped out to a strong start, building a 20-10 lead after the opening quarter behind Kristie Zator's and Abbie Hernandez's early scoring. The Badgers extended their advantage in the second frame as Hernandez caught fire with seven straight points, and Zator added a pair of buckets late to push the halftime margin to 39-19.

SUNY Delhi opened the third quarter with a 7-2 run to cut the deficit to 15, but Johnson answered with Jacquelyn Oberg's inside presence, scoring six points in the period. Hernandez closed the quarter with a layup to make it 51-32 heading into the fourth.

In the final frame, Johnson sealed the win with relentless rebounding and balanced scoring - Zator added six points, Faith Meade and Jaylah Jones converted second-chance opportunities, and Kamryn Devero buried two late threes to stretch the lead.
